Catholic Bible 101

The purpose of this page is to document YOUR Rosary success stories.  Send them to me (a paragraph or two), and I will post them here, anonymously of course.  Your personal testimony may inspire others with the same problem to also overcome it.  So don't be shy. Go to  the "CONTACT ME" page and let me know your successes, like the ones below, and I will post them.

1.  I overcame my addiction to pornography by saying the rosary every day. It didn't go completely away at first, but over time, it gradally went away.  I have trouble concentrating on the mystery's while I am saying the prayers, but I went ahead anyway.  I was adicted for over 30 years of my life. Praise be to Jesus.

2. For most of my life, I have been addicted to salt.  My blood pressure was going through the roof.  After saying the rosary one day, I just stopped putting extra salt on my food. Now my blood pressure is normal, and I feel much better.  I learned to be specific in my prayers.  Hard to believe that I just walked away from it one day.

3.  Drinking pop had always been a habit of mine, from the time I was a kid until now.  I had a lot of weight gain, and could never seem to be full. In my mind, pop was harmless, because it was no calories.  I started praying the rosary, and asking Mary for good health. One night, when I got up to go to the restroom, I heard an inner voice tell me that it was the pop that was doing it.  The next day I quit. Now I actually get full when I eat, and water is my drink of choice.  Mary, thanks !

4.  For many years I was a slave of sin of lust of the flesh.  It became a habit & I thought that I am forever a slave of it.  I started to pray the Holy Rosary daily & in just a week my habitual sin instantly banished - I'm now free!!!. Thank you Jesus & Blessed Mother Mary.

6.  My life changed since I started praying the Holy Rosary.  For a year or two I didn't go to confession & therefore not receiving the Holy Eucharist. I seldom attend a mass & don't pray regulary.  Everything has suddenly changed.  God poured out His graces to me.  I now pray a lot & read the scriptures regularly, & noticed that I'm more patient now, forgiving & full of hope.  God indeed renewed me.  Jesus lives in me!  Thanks to  the powerful intercession of the Blessed  Virgin Mother!

7.  I'm one of the living witnesses of the power of the Rosary. I received so many graces from God through praying & meditating on its sacred mysteries. My prayers were granted & I was healed spiritually.  It brought me new hope & joy in Jesus. Thanks to Mother Mary.

8. Due to financial difficulties, our child almost couldn't go to school this year.   Though it really hurts, we learned to accept the situation if this is the will of God.  I prayed the Holy Rosary & asked the Blessed Mother to grant us this favor that my son could go back to school. Our prayer was granted. We're able to pay the school fees a day before the school starts & now our son is back to school. Mother Mary knows perfectly the heart of a mother like me. Thanks to Her intercession.

9. Regularly praying the Holy Rosary increased my hunger for the word of God.  Thanks to the Blessed Virgin Mary - she causes me to long for her son Jesus more & more. I wasn't  that interested in reading the scriptures until I started this devotion.  The Rosary has been my guide to Jesus. It's so powerful! Thank you mama Mary! 

10.   I have read a lot of articles about the power of fasting & said to myself that I also want to experience that "power".  I have attempted many times but I just can't do it faithfully no matter how I tried; I've no idea when & how I should do it. And when I fast, I don't feel any purpose at all.  Then, I remembered that I should ask God for the grace to do it.  I included this intention in my  daily Rosary prayer while I try to abstain from foods.  Finally, God answered me last night while praying the Rosary (sorrowful mysteries). I was meditating on the  agonies of Jesus when instantly "fasting" came to my mind. I knew that it was a leading from God that I can fast during Tuesdays & Fridays. Now, I have God's clear consent. I'm confident that His grace will sustain & strengthen me.  It's another Rosary success story happened to me.

11.  My grandfather has had a leaking heart valve (sp) for a long time and I started praying my rosary more. I asked that when he went through surgery at age 80 he would be ok and through praying my rosary and the intercession of our Lady he is now doing great! 

12. Dearest Mother Mary, thank You for hearing my petitions through the Rosary and for interceding to God and to Jesus to let me be able to pass my Music Theory examination, which i re-sat for last year. My parents, especially my father, was very anxious about my results and i know it would be a big disappointment should i fail once more because it was both financially and time consuming and my father knows that given his age, he could not really afford to let me drag for another year should i fail this re-test, also besides this, i am sure he will be very angry if i were to fail this. After the examination, i found out i had lost 10 marks and that i did not follow instructions carefully. I was afraid i was going to fail again. However, thank You Mother Mary for hearing my petitions through the Rosary to let me pass this paper despite what have happened, and to let my marker be lenient towards me. Thank You Father, thank You Jesus for hearing and answering my petitions through the intercessions of Mother Mary. 

13.   I have used the "super novena" of 54 consecutive days of the Rosary many times over that last 20 years. Each and every time I have completed it, what I have asked for has come through quickly and specifically as I begged for, no matter how seemingly impossible! I begin each super novena with the absolute faith that I shall be answered. After all, She has invited us to implore her that she may take our requests to Jesus. He has a tough time turning her down! By choosing the Rosary we become her children; she will not ignore us. The 54 days are VERY difficult to complete and if I miss even one day I make myself start over (this is a contract, no?) I think that is why that particular novena is so powerful. We are so immersed in our quest for 54 days that we get in touch with what it is we really want or need.  Thank you always, Blessed Mother.

14. I've been praying the rosary daily since my son was sent to Iraq. When he came home for two weeks, he told us an amazing story. When he was over in Iraq he took care of dangerous prisoners. I guess one day while he changed his uniform jacket, he left part of his rosary beads hanging out. When he went to work, a particular prisoner (one that had threatened my son to kill him as soon as he got out), noticed the beads and asked him what it was. My son quickly looked at them and put them inside his jacket. The prisoner kept asking him what it was and my son told him it was nothing. He insisted so much that my son told him he would show them to him only if he didn't get upset or offended. My son took out his rosary and the prisoner then asked him if he was Arabic. My son told him no that he was Catholic. Since that day, that prisoner stopped bothering and threatening my son. I know that it was my Mother Mary protecting him and her powerful intercession to her son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you, Mother Mary!!!
